The fundraising event was staged at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club with activities including a golf tournament, clay pigeon shooting, and a charity auction, raffle and evening dinner.
MCS Group employees were joined by representatives from a host of businesses, including HNW Architects, Jardine Motor Group, Cambria Automobiles, Lookers and Sytner Group. Managing director, Keir Edmonds, said: “We are hugely grateful to our subcontractors, clients and employees for making this event such a success. “As a business we think it’s important to support our local communities and we hope that this donation will make a real difference to the lives of those who need it most”. The Helping Hands Community Project provides a range of services to homeless people across Leamington Warwick and Kenilworth, including work-ready skills and qualifications, volunteering opportunities and employment with local businesses. The charity also runs its own soup kitchen and provides furniture and other essentials for recently re-housed people and low-income families.
