SOUTHAM APPOINTMENT

We have landed our first contract of a landmark year!  We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2023 and have been selected to deliver a major development in Warwickshire, which could create 100 jobs.

Warwickshire Property & Development Group (WPDG) is creating 42,000 sq. ft. industrial scheme at Holywell Business Park which is part of the Kineton Road Industrial Estate in Southam and it will be constructed by MCS Group.

We will build nine units between 1,900 sq. ft. and 15,000 sq. ft. to suit a range of businesses in what is WPDG’s first construction project.

WPDG was established by Warwickshire County Council in 2021 to realise the potential of its development sites, commercial buildings and mineral rights in the most sustainable way possible.

Keir Edmonds, Managing Director of MCS Group, said it is a fitting contract to start our anniversary year.

“We deliver projects right across the country and are very active in the M25 corridor, but we are very much rooted in Warwickshire so it is always rewarding to be chosen to deliver a project that will make a difference to the local economy.

“WPDG is working to help the county realise the potential of its assets which will in turn help create jobs which can only be good four our local area, and we are really excited to be delivering its first construction project.”

MCS have delivered several projects in Warwickshire in recent years including a new Volvo dealership and a £10 million office refurbishment project, both on Tachbrook Park, Warwick. The company is due to start on site next month with completion expected in the winter of 2023.
