Construction skills students saw their studies step up a gear when mcs invited them on site down at Chiswick.
The team on site at the Peugeot Citroen / DS Automobiles dealership development gave a group of 18 students a behind-the-scenes tour! Project Manager Phil Turner and Site Manager Peter Carlow welcomed the students from the carpentry Level 2/3 course at West London College Park Royal Campus, accompanied by their tutor, Enda Mulloy.
Peter said “We really believe in education and visits like this allow us to help the next generation of construction workers. Enda and his students were really enthusiastic and very happy to see a company reaching out to them. We gave them their protective gear and conducted a thorough tour from the ground level up. This is how construction companies and colleges should work together if we are to help solve the skills shortage for the future. We encourage students to visit our sites and we are happy to share our knowledge and are always accessible”.
MCS were awarded the £12m contract to deliver a dealership for new and used cars on behalf of Robins & Day.
