Rob Townsend

Joint Managing Director

Rob initially joined MCS as a Commercial Manager back in 2012. Having worked his way through the ranks, Rob became the Group Commercial Director in 2020. In the role as Commercial Director,  Robs key functions are to manage commercial risk and compliance, whilst closely working with employer teams and the supply chain to ensure successful project delivery. As Joint Managing Directors since May 2025, Rob and James work cohesively to bring together both the operational and commercial functions within the business.

Outside of work Rob has little in the way of spare time with his two young boys who are football mad. When the boys are not playing football, they are watching Wolves! Rob is a Wolves season ticket holder but is actually a Derby County fan at heart. If there is down time away from the pitch,  Rob enjoys a round of golf and spot of cooking.
